Eve online militia? also can someone list some pros and cons in going into it with being able to fly bc, bs, c?

i been looking up if i should go into the eve military. I am in the eve uni with deals with everything but from looking up it, the military seems like pvp only. since eve uni deals with a lot of pvp is there any point on going in the eve military or am i dead on with all the military is pvp?
