Is chinas military a threat to the U.S.?

Nuclear warfare aside, the only advantage the Chinese military has over the U.S. military is a larger ground force. The U.S. Navy and Air Force is infinitely more advanced than China's. Their numbers count for nothing because they would never be able to set foot on U.S. soil.
