Surfing trick advice?

I've been surfing for about four years now and the other day I did a trick where I've seen a million times before. On the end of a close out I wipped the nose up onto the lip and then as the wave broke to wash I was put back into the normal stance. What is this called. The best I could come up with was that it was a crappy floater type thing. Like a mix between a floater and a cutback. It was on a shortboard.
