I`m getting made redundent?

i`m getting made redundent from the council because of cutbacks in care.Some staff have already gone because there are no clients to look after ,so they have been given the basic redundency payout, plus 90 days notice money in the form of a cheque.But we have just been told the remaining staff can`t have the 90 days notice money and that we have work the last 90 days!..So can they do this?
