Was the original sin god's fault?

He is supposedly all knowing so he knew Adam and Eve would have ate the forbidden fruit. Why does he supposedly hold humanity responsible for something he set up to happen? And if he had never placed the tree of knowledge in the garden Adam and Eve would have never ate from it. Isn't it all this god's fault?
