Been taking xanax .25 3x a day for about 5 weeks?

I am taking it for panic attacks. I want to stop taking the xanax after researching the drug. The withdrawal symptoms scare me. How long will the withdrawal process take? Ive already cutback some and now i cant sleep. Does Tylenol pm help?
